Each year the Greater Rochester Community of Churches celebrates with the greater faith communities those people who give of themselves in daily tasks to the needs of others, and put their "faith into action" as an expression of God's love and work in the world.
Richard Wien
2011 Faith In Action Honoree
Richard Wien- shown here with his wife Judy - embodies, literally, the energy of faith. His keen intellect and attention to detail are bundled with a workload that veils the fact that Dick is retired! In addition to his role as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the First Baptist Church of Rochester, Dick serves as Chair of the Brighton Food Depot and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pittsford Food cupboard. He also serves as Chair of the Fairport Baptist Homes Caring Ministries Foundation and the Board of Directors of Quad A for kids.
His generosity of self is driven by his first desire to follow Christ’s call to improve the quality of life for the neighbor and the entire community. Dick is a model of faith in action. Be sure to view our Photo Gallery of the event, shown in the left-hand margin.
